Ticketmaster is now the exclusive ticketing services provider for Venues Wellington following a rigorous tender process conducted by Wellington Regional Economic Development Agency (WREDA).
The new partnership allows Ticketmaster to deliver the best service for Wellington audiences, ratepayers and event clients.
Following the news, David Perks, WREDA General Manager, Venues, Marketing & Destination Development, said, “We are pleased to partner with [Ticketmaster], and look forward to [Ticketmaster] making a positive contribution to Venues Wellington operations and our customers’ experience.”
Adding, “Major event venues throughout the world enter into exclusive ticketing services relationships because they are efficient, cost-effective and convenient for customers.
“Venues Wellington – like other Australasian Venues has worked exclusively with a single provider for many years, and took the opportunity to go to market to secure a new, competitive deal on behalf of Wellington ratepayers.”
Venues Wellington operates four venues in the New Zealand capital: the TSB Bank Arena, Michael Fowler Centre, St James Theatre and the Opera House.
