The Sydney Royal Easter Show has just wrapped up its fourth successful year in partnership with Ticketmaster.

The Show has once again celebrated the union of the country and city at the Sydney Showground over the Easter period. The event, now in its 195th year, attracted around 780,000 over 12 exciting days of entertainment and activities in celebration of Australian culture.

The event hosted a huge range of activities including agricultural competitions, animal experiences, carnival fun and so much more across 24 pavilions, three entertainment arenas and a variety of outdoor precincts.

The Show is Australia’s largest annual ticketed event, a feat that was recognised in the annual Ticketmaster Awards in March with The Sydney Royal Easter Show winning “Best-Selling Event” Award.

“It is an honour to continue being Australia’s largest ticketed event and we’re thrilled to win the Ticketmaster Award for the best-selling event of 2017. We appreciate the work that Ticketmaster provides in support of the Sydney Royal Easter Show and look forward to another successful year in partnership together,” said Murray Wilton, General Manager of Agriculture and Sydney Royal Easter Show.

Ticketmaster’s on-site team, which includes 350 casual staff members for the Easter Show, do incredible work to ensure the event runs smoothly each year.

Glenda Dickson, Operations Manager – Client Services, Ticketmaster Australia, thanks the team for their ongoing enthusiasm and hard work, “It is always satisfying to work on a successful operation but from a personal perspective it is the one occasion where I can work closely not only with so many permanent Ticketmaster employees that I wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to work with, but also our amazing team of casual staff.”

Adding, “To see it run successfully is a great testament to Ticketmaster. In particular, the display of teamwork across nearly every department in our business.”

The preparation for the Easter Show is a year-round process, with the planning already underway for next year’s 196th event.

Ticketmaster works closely with the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW to continue to improve the event year after year.

Over the last four years, Ticketmaster has reduced wait times at Box Offices and improved ticket control measures significantly. We are committed to developing the event experience even further for attendees and staff, ensuring the Sydney Royal Easter Show continues to be one of the best-loved events in Australia.
