• The new technology personalises the fan experience and improves key event-day information for Ticketmaster’s venue clients.

Ticketmaster Australasia is proud to unveil a new Ticket Forward functionality for fans and venues in Australia.

Ticket Forward is a free, fast and easy way to share tickets digitally, because we believe live events should be a stress-free experience for fans.

The same goes for our venue clients, who will now have better knowledge of who exactly is in their venue during an event.

Why it’s vital for venues

The all-new technology gives fans the power to share their tickets at the click of a button, all via their My Ticketmaster accounts. And because it sits within each ticket holder’s personalised account, our venues will have better knowledge of exactly who the real ticket holders are.

Previously, in an instance where four tickets were purchased by one fan, venues would be unable to identify the other three attendees. With Ticket Forward, friends can share their tickets digitally and enable the venue to know exactly who is attending their event.

Not only does it increase safety in a venue, but Ticket Forward will help us to create a more personalised experience for fans.

No private or confidential information from My Ticketmaster accounts is shared with third parties.

Improving the fan experience

Fans have already begun using Ticket Forward and the feedback we’ve received tells us it’s working for them.

How it works

Going to a gig with a friend but arriving at different times? Bought a ticket as a present for someone else? Simply forward the ticket straight to their My Ticketmaster account via desktop or mobile.

An email invitation is sent to the recipient and once they’ve accepted it, a new ticket is activated and the old is voided.

What’s more, Ticketmaster handles all customer service related to Ticket Forward.

If an event is cancelled, both the ticket buyer and new ticket owner are notified.

There’s no limit to how many times a ticket can be forwarded but the original purchaser will always remain the financial owner of the tickets.

Ticket purchasers will need to select e-Ticket options to be able to use Ticket Forward after purchase.
