Ticketmaster is now the exclusive ticketing services provider for Venues Wellington following a rigorous tender process conducted by Wellington Regional Economic Development Agency (WREDA).

The new partnership allows Ticketmaster to deliver the best service for Wellington audiences, ratepayers and event clients.

Following the news, David Perks, WREDA General Manager, Venues, Marketing & Destination Development, said, “We are pleased to partner with [Ticketmaster], and look forward to [Ticketmaster] making a positive contribution to Venues Wellington operations and our customers’ experience.”

Adding, “Major event venues throughout the world enter into exclusive ticketing services relationships because they are efficient, cost-effective and convenient for customers.

“Venues Wellington – like other Australasian Venues has worked exclusively with a single provider for many years, and took the opportunity to go to market to secure a new, competitive deal on behalf of Wellington ratepayers.”

Venues Wellington operates four venues in the New Zealand capital: the TSB Bank Arena, Michael Fowler Centre, St James Theatre and the Opera House.

Here at Ticketmaster, we’re pleased to welcome Venues Wellington as clients and are thrilled to begin immersing them in our latest technologies.

Warwick Langworthy, General Manager Client Services at Ticketmaster Australasia, says, “Ticketmaster is delighted to partner with the Wellington Regional Economic Development Agency (WREDA), and looks forward to providing the tools required to help Venues Wellington truly flourish. We are committed to delivering the very best, industry-first capabilities for both fans and clients.”

Along with all Ticketmaster clients, Venues Wellington will now benefit from industry-leading technology that puts fans first, all while ensuring artists and venue clients are in the driving seats of their events.

Among many exclusive initiatives enjoyed by all Ticketmaster clients, Venues Wellington will have full use of our web-based client portal, Ticketmaster One, including Analytics and our recently-revamped Ticker app, to significantly improve reporting across the organisation.

Venues Wellington will also have access to the latest in dynamic pricing functionality through the Ticketmaster One Inventory application and customers will be able to take advantage of a brand new consumer app to preorder food & beverage before arriving at the venue.

We look forward to servicing fans with Venues Wellington’s wealth of amazing events.
