As well as rebranding our mobile products in line with Ticketmaster’s new look and feel, the mobile sites and apps now have additional customer-focused benefits and features.

Our mobile sites in Australia and New Zealand – m.ticketmaster.com.au and m.ticketmaster.co.nz – now resemble Ticketmaster’s newly-branded desktop websites with the new colour palette. But on top of the changes to the look, the sites now feature improved screen layout, with ‘popular events’ now displayed instead of events in date range.

The popular events module puts the top sellers and most sought after tickets in front of users when they first visit the mobile sites.

And once a customer has found the event they are interested in, the new express checkout allows for an efficient and seamless purchase process. If the customer already has billing/credit card details stored in their account, they will immediately be presented with the best available reserved tickets and don’t have to leave the page to confirm their order and purchase.

If a customer chooses the ‘classic checkout’ option, they are still provided with a streamlined process that has been reduced from five steps to two. The advantages for clients and customers are obvious; the transactions on Ticketmaster’s mobile sites are now far quicker and more seamless than they have ever been.

Another major benefit that has been rolled out for mobile site users recently is the ability to purchase ticket insurance via the sites. Ticketmaster’s insurance offering has been available on its desktop sites for a long time and now mobile site users have access to this benefit as well.

Users of Ticketmaster’s apps on iPhones will be pleased that a new version, v1.7.8, is now available via the Apple Store. The new version uses the newest iOS9 operating system and offers customers major new benefits and features that speed up the purchase process.

One of the major new features is a customer’s ability to purchase tickets by scanning their credit card using their mobile device’s inbuilt camera during checkout. It is important to note, Card.io technology does not store of transmit credit card numbers, making it a safe and reliable method of payment.

The new version of Ticketmaster’s iPhone apps also allows customers to take advantage of spotlight search and manage their favourites easily.

Apple’s inbuilt search tool – Spotlight – can be used by swiping down from any home screen. Even when a customer is not in the app, they can search for events, venues and locations and any related events will be indexed. When a customer selects the spotlight search result they will be deep linked to the artist or event page for simple purchase.

Ticketmaster understands lovers of live events require multiple methods to purchase tickets, particularly via mobile products. Our products and technology teams are always aiming to improve the mobile platforms on offer in order to make it as easy as possible for customers and clients to search, buy and scan event tickets.
